The Dance of Eros and Thanatos

In many cultures, the masculine and the feminine are antithetical and dualistic models, which separate the system of activities and attribute roles, functions, behaviors, attitudes, etc., to each other. In many cultures there are also rare models in which the masculine and the feminine merge and merge, often they are divinities linked to the forces of nature and a spiritual dimension far from the era populated by human beings. Typically, they are the ancestral cosmogonic figures from which the worlds and, later, the civilizations originate.
It is interesting to note from the outset that the closer we get to the sacred dimension of human existence, the more the boundaries between male and female fade in favor of a panic fusion that would lead us back to a dimension other than our routine. A dimension in which the human being weaves a deep bond with nature and recognizes itself as a small -and perhaps even negligible- portion of the universe.
The aim of a queer pedagogy is to create the conditions for this desiring practice of transformation to take place in a guided and protected context through dancing.

Ο Χορός του Έρωτα και του Θανάτου
Εργαστήριο Queer Παιδαγωγικής με τον Damiano Fina
Σε πολλές κουλτούρες, το αρσενικό και το θηλυκό είναι αντιθετικές και δυαδικές έννοιες, που προϋποθέτουν τον διαχωρισμό του συστήματος των δραστηριοτήτων, των ρόλων και των συμπεριφορών. Σε άλλες κουλτούρες, υπάρχουν παραδείγματα διαφορετικών μοντέλων, όπου το αρσενικό και το θηλυκό βρίσκονται σε διαρκή επαφή και αλληλεπίδραση. Συχνά, θεωρούνται θεϊκά στοιχεία, στενά συνδεδεμένα με τις δυνάμεις της φύσης και το πνεύμα, αρκετά απομακρυσμένα από την εποχή των ανθρώπων. Συνήθως, είναι προγονικές και κοσμογονικές εικόνες, άπο όπου ο κόσμος και ο πολιτισμός ξεπήδησαν.
Είναι ενδιαφέρον να σημειωθεί εξ αρχής, ότι όσο πιο κοντά ερχόμαστε στις ιερές διαστάσεις της ανθρώπινης ύπαρξης, τόσο πιο πολλά τα όρια μεταξύ του αρσενικού και του θηλυκού ξεθωριάζουν και αναδεικνύεται η μανιακή ένωση των δύο. Αυτή η διαδικασία αποκαλύπτει μια διάσταση πέρα από την καθημερινή μας ρουτίνα. Σε αυτήν τη διάσταση οι άνθρωποι δημιουργούν βαθύτερους δεσμούς με τη φύση και αναγνωρίζουν τους εαυτούς τους ως ένα μικρό – ίσως και αμελητέο – κομμάτι του σύμπαντος.
Ο σκοπός της queer παιδαγωγικής είναι να δημιουργήσει τις συνθήκες για αυτήν την πρακτική της μεταμόρφωση, εντός ένος καθοδηγούμενου και προστατευμένου πλαισίου μέσψ του χορού.
